A recently discovered coffee shop in Sandton has quickly become one of my favourite spots in Johannesburg. If I were only working in the Sandton vicinity, I would often take a leisurely lunch break there during the week.

The Daily Buzz coffee shop is perfect for me as I usually visit coffee shops for a cup of coffee and something light to eat while I work on my laptop. The décor is very trendy and a pleasant setting makes it a brilliant place to enjoy a coffee or lunch break. With open space in the courtyard you get to enjoy the Outside / inside feel.  The relaxed atmosphere is what really makes this place a gem though.

A meeting place “Under the Tree” provides an ideal setting for a relaxed cup of coffee or as a meeting point. What better place to meet or talk business than “Under the tree”

Chris Brown together with his brother Andrew runs six different workplace coffee bars under the banner of The Daily Buzz.  The brother’s expertise comes from training at the London School of Coffee. They understand their clientele and have provided the ultimate in-house coffee experience to a number of corporates.

You can grab your daily fix and enjoy a healthy meal or coffee bar snack as well. This place has a scrumptious selection of food and drinks to satisfy your tastebuds.  As a go-to lunch place, there is no need to look far beyond the excellent range of light meals available. The menu offers a variety of freshly baked sweet & savoury muffins, sandwiches, bagels and wraps with healthy options available too.

I enjoyed a Roast Chicken & Flambéed Cranberry sandwich, followed by a bacon, corn & spring onion savoury muffin. Quite a mouthful for me, but I could not resist the temptation.      

The service at The Daily Buzz is accompanied by a warm friendly smile. Definitely a fantastic place to go for a relaxing breakfast, brunch or a business meeting.

The Daily Buzz coffee shop is convenient to access, as it is located inside the Rand Merchant Bank at 3 Merchant Place, Sandton.
