MASTERFUL CHEF LINE-UP FOR GAUTENG GOOD FOOD & WINE SHOW!

If you’re a passionate cook or food lover, you will not want to miss the Good Food & wine show taking place at the Coca-Cola Dome between 31 July – 3 August 2014. With a host of top chefs and the latest trends and tips from the world of food, this is on my list of things to do.

See celebrity chefs in action such as Matt Preston, Lisa and Helen Tse, Buddy Valastro, Reza Mahammad, and Food Network’s Siba Mtongana of Siba’s Table, to name but a few.

Foods from around the world restaurants – eyes on Indian and Thai cuisine amongst others

Baking is BIG – following the global trend, baking will take centre stage with a kids bake-off area and an adults baking theatre

Regional Wine Tasting Tours- We’ve upped the ante and moved away from the traditional wine walk to a series of tasting pods. Each visitor will receive a free pack of Wine tasting coupons with their wine glass purchase. Coupon booklets cost R20 each thereafter.

Extreme Nutrition – what foods you need to fit the sports scene

Tools for Cooks – a new area dedicated to the best in cooking appliances, utensils and tools to help you get creative in the kitchen – look out for the Cake Boss bakeware being launched at the show

Kyknet Kook- This is a celebration of Afrikaner culture, heritage and food. It features well known Afrikaans celebrities cooking up a storm.

Writers Block- Writers and bloggers and wannabe bloggers will be able unleash their words on all things culinary in the new specially designated Writers’ Block section. Even more inspiration comes in the form of a prize from Yuppiechef to the writer whose copy has been judged the best.
